Meet Lorenzo Taylor and his legit MX-5 Build!

Meet Lorenzo Taylor Ramsay(Instagram: https://instagram.com/extralolz420?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== ) the proud owner of a 1990 Mazda MX-5 that he has been working on for the past two years. Angel, an automotive enthusiast, recently had the opportunity to interview Lorenzo about his project.

The Mazda MX-5 was in primer and was not even a solid color when Lorenzo bought it for $3,000, with no title. He had to fight for a title, and it went through a lot. Today, the car is unrecognizable, with customizations that are a testament to Lorenzo's hard work.

Lorenzo's MX-5 has a lightweight racing hardtop that is about ten pounds lighter than the normal steel frame hardtop. He also has a roll cage that he considers his actual protection. He is redoing his interior, completely stripping all the paint and sound deadening and replacing it with a flat spray. He is also completing his cage with door bars that are about to go in.

Lorenzo's MX-5 is getting a K-swap, and he is building a K24 engine that is about halfway done. He is hoping for a supercharged K-swap with an S2000 engine in the future. The car's power plant frame, driveshaft, axles for LSD, and other parts have been upgraded.

Lorenzo believes that tires are the most important part of any build. He says that if you're not sticking to the road, you can't do mountain runs. He is hitting a mountain run later today and is waiting for his buddies to text him back.

Lorenzo's interior is looking sleek. He has replaced everything, from the door cards to the dash. Everything is being painted right now. He has a MOMO steering wheel, which he plans to replace with a Sparco steering wheel, and a short shifter. Lorenzo has upgraded his car's performance with slotted rotors, custom Fortune 500 coil overs, and a Manzo exhaust.

Lorenzo takes pride in his project, and rightfully so. He has put in a lot of hard work and dedication into this car, and it shows. He is even planning to give the car to his sister, who is only eight years old. He wants to make sure that she is on the racetrack as soon as possible.
